New sound clips of the BKW45™ recorded by Glen Kuykendall.

These clips were recorded using the BKW45 used in the JTM45 round up article in the May issue of Premire Guitar.

Here is what Glen had to say about what he used to record the clips.

For the Strat clips I used my new "1957 Fender heavy relic strat". The guitar has Fralin vintage hots in it, an ash body plus a maple neck. I did the Les Paul clips using my original '59 Les Paul standard aka "burst". It has stock double white original PAFs, and stock wiring.

I set the amp the same for all the clips, and simply worked the guitar knobs from there. The amp knobs were presence - 5, bass - 0, middle - 10, treble - 6, volume channel one - 10. I used the top left input. Amp was at 16 ohms into my '68 Marshall slant basketweave cab with four '71 era Celestion greenback G12M 25 watters w/75hz original cones. The mic was dead center on the lower right speaker cone right up against the grill, using a Sennheiser e906 mic into an API 3124+ mic preamp, RME Fireface 800 A/D interface into a computer with Sonar recording software. I didn't use any EQ or compression, though I added just a tad of reverb with a computer plugin and that was it.
